How To Join Laredo Federal Credit Union

Though the Laredo Federal Credit Union was organized in 1954 to serve only teachers, over the years the field of membership has gradually expanded to include more of the local businesses, government agencies, and residents. The National Credit Union Administration has authorized LFCU to extend memberships and service to all of Webb County. Anyone who lives in, works in, attends school in or worships in Webb County will be eligible for membership! LFCU is a community-wide credit union. Presently there are more than 19,000 members being served by LFCU.

In addition, relatives of existing members are eligible for membership, regardless of where the members reside. "Relatives" includes "spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, stepchildren, stepparents, step-siblings, and adoptive relationships." Also, persons living in the same household of a member are eligible for membership. Just call or visit either of  LFCU's four locations and visit with a Member Service Representative to join the credit union. LFCU is "easy to join and easy to use"! It's part of our commitment: "People Helping People".
